Settings Overview

Accessing Settings

Navigate to Settings from the portal navigation (usually in the user menu or sidebar).

Profile Settings

Your Information

Update your personal details:

Updating Your Profile

Navigate to Settings

Click Settings in the portal navigation.

Find Profile Section

Locate the Profile or Personal Information section.

Edit Fields

Click on fields to edit them, or click an “Edit” button.

Save Changes

Click “Save” to apply your changes.

Profile Photo

Some portals allow profile photos:

Click Avatar

Click your current avatar or the camera icon.

Upload Image

Select an image file:
  • JPG, PNG, or GIF
  • Square images work best
  • Recommended: 200x200px or larger

Confirm

Your new photo appears throughout the portal.

Password Management

Setting a Password

If you accessed via magic link and want to set a password for direct login:

Go to Security Settings

Navigate to SettingsSecurity or Password.

Set Password

Click “Set Password” or “Create Password”.

Enter New Password

Create a strong password:
  • At least 8 characters
  • Mix of letters, numbers, symbols
  • Not easily guessable

Confirm Password

Enter the password again to confirm.

Save

Click “Save” or “Set Password”.

Changing Your Password

Go to Security Settings

Navigate to SettingsSecurity or Password.

Click Change Password

Click the “Change Password” button.

Enter Current Password

Type your current password.

Enter New Password

Create your new password.

Confirm New Password

Retype the new password.

Save

Click “Update Password”.

Forgot Password

If you can’t remember your password:

Go to Login Page

Navigate to your portal login page.

Click Forgot Password

Click the “Forgot Password?” link.

Enter Email

Enter your portal email address.

Check Email

Look for a password reset email.

Reset Password

Click the link and create a new password.
Password reset links expire after a set period (usually 24 hours). Request a new one if needed.

Display Preferences

Theme Selection

Choose your preferred appearance:

Find Theme Setting

Navigate to SettingsAppearance or Theme.

Select Theme

Choose Light, Dark, or System.

Applied Instantly

Theme changes immediately - no save needed.

Notification Preferences

Some portals allow notification customization:

Email Notifications

Configure when you receive emails:

Managing Notifications

Find Notification Settings

Navigate to SettingsNotifications.

Toggle Options

Turn each notification type on or off.

Save Preferences

Click “Save” to apply changes.
Not all portals offer notification customization. Contact your CSM about available options.

Session Management

Active Sessions

Some portals show where you’re logged in:
  • Device type (desktop, mobile)
  • Browser
  • Location
  • Last active time

Signing Out of All Devices

If you need to sign out everywhere:

Go to Security Settings

Navigate to SettingsSecurity or Sessions.

Sign Out All

Click “Sign Out All Devices” or “End All Sessions”.

Confirm

Confirm the action. You’ll be signed out everywhere.

Log In Again

Sign in on the devices you want to use.
Use this if you think your account was accessed without permission.

Troubleshooting

Reason: Email may be locked to your invitation.Solution: Contact your CSM to update your email address.
Check:
  • Spam/junk folder
  • Correct email entered
  • Corporate email filters
Try:
  • Request new reset link
  • Wait a few minutes
  • Contact CSM
Check:
  • Browser cookies enabled
  • Not in incognito mode
Try:
  • Refresh the page
  • Clear browser cache
  • Try different browser
Check:
  • File type (JPG, PNG, GIF)
  • File size limits
  • Image dimensions
Try:
  • Resize the image
  • Convert to different format
  • Use a smaller file

Security Best Practices

Strong Password

Use unique passwords with mix of characters, numbers, and symbols

Don't Share Credentials

Each team member should have their own account

Watch for Phishing

Only log in through official portal URLs

Sign Out on Shared Devices

Always log out when using public or shared computers
