“The contract is signed” is exactly the kind of claim Thread refuses to take on faith. Connecting DocuSign gives guides a live envelope read to verify it — and gives agents the tools to send agreements, watch signing progress, nudge the unsigned, and pull down the completed document.

What it powers

Guide verification. Attach the DocuSign tool to a guide and its scope is derived automatically: it sees the envelopes matched to the email on the customer’s record, resolved fresh at read time — nothing pinned, nothing authored. When the outcome is “agreement signed,” the guide closes it on a fresh envelope read, not on the customer’s say-so. See Outcomes and verification. Milestone checks. Connect DocuSign

Open Connectors → DocuSign → Connect

In Thread, go to Connectors → DocuSign and click Connect. Sign in to DocuSign and approve access. One DocuSign account per organization.

Confirm the account

The connector page shows the connected DocuSign account name and ID, plus an environment badge.

Test the connection

Use Test Connection on the connector page to confirm reads work end to end.
Thread’s DocuSign connection currently runs against DocuSign’s demo environment while Thread’s DocuSign partner listing completes. The connector page’s environment badge shows which environment your connection uses. If your agreements live in a production DocuSign account, contact support before relying on this connector.

Scope

  • A guide’s DocuSign tool sees only envelopes whose signer email matches the customer record it’s bound to, matched exactly — never fuzzy, never someone else’s paperwork.
  • Agent tools operate with the access of the connected DocuSign account; DocuSign’s own permissions apply.

Troubleshooting

The check matches by the email on the customer’s record. If the agreement was sent to a different address (a legal contact, a distribution list), the read won’t see it — fix the email on the record, or confirm the outcome manually.
Documents download only from completed envelopes. Check the envelope’s status first — a voided or in-progress envelope has nothing final to fetch.
Confirm the template exists in the connected DocuSign account and that every required role in the template is assigned a recipient.
